About Superstar Speedboat Trips
My first encounter with Superstar was as a young lad of 6 years old, and it made such an impression on me that whenever I was in Cornwall I spent hours on this boat. When the opportunity to acquire Superstar came about many years later, there was no hesitation in making Superstar a part of our lives. The best part of running Superstar is seeing the enjoyment on people's faces after a trip, as well as owning a part of the history of Looe. Superstar Speedboats Looe offers a classic speedboat experience, providing a unique trip along the coast, around the bay, and St George's bay in the style and comfort of a bygone era.

Superstar was commissioned by Alan Tompson to Gerald Pearn of Morval near Looe, and launched June 12th 1972. Superstar is a legend of Looe with a 100% safety record. Acquired in 2012, Superstar is a classic that still performs as it did 53 years ago with grace, style, and comfort, cutting through the water rather than bouncing like a modern rib. A much more civilized way to see the scenery of the Cornish Rivera.

Our goal is that every trip is enjoyable, safe & memorable whether you are 1 month old or 99 years old. It is our wish our passengers enjoy the trip fully whether a standard 20 mins trip around the bay or Looe island discovering smugglers caves and pirate haunts of yesteryear, even passing over a wreck of a WW2 Boeing B17 Flying Fortress on the way at Millendreath or the longer coastal trip to Polperro. We may even see seals or even dolphins on your trip when they enter the bay.

Our core values are value for money and a safe, enjoyable trip. Although Superstar is a safe, strong, capable boat, if sea conditions are too lively, we will cancel the trips. Customer safety is paramount.
